Tecumseh, Michigan Having received Bonnie’s curriculum materials in yesterday’s mail Sarah Gillem, her mom, has just installed the parent and student application program for Switched On® Schoolhouse version 2.0 for her 5 th grade daughter. After checking the school calendar and the lesson, Sarah realized that she wanted to make a few minor adjustments to it but wasn’t exactly sure how to do it. So she called the technical support number and was instructed by a helpful young man named Frank. He carefully explained to her how to make the needed changes. Before Frank hung up, he added that teachers had emphasized to him that for a student to be successful, daily parental supervision was needed, along with having the student synchronize before and after each day’s schoolwork. Frank further explained that in so doing, important schoolwork data was less likely to be lost. Sarah thanked him, made the needed changes in the calendar, and then proceeded to watch Bonnie begin her schoolwork.
